Answer "Are you coming?" and pick a meal
Tell your chapter whether you're coming to the next meeting in one tap, pick your meal when there's a menu, and get a reminder on the day.
Your chapter likes to know who to expect each week. Telling them takes one tap, and you can change your answer until the meeting. An answer is a plan, not a check-in. It earns no points, and you still scan the code when you arrive.
How do I say I'm coming?
- Open Home. The Next meeting card shows the date and time of your next meeting.
- Tap I'm coming or Can't make it. Your answer is saved right away.
- If you're coming, the card says You're on the list. At the meeting, scan the code to check in.
You can also answer on Meetings, in the Check in panel.
Changed your mind? Tap the other button. Your new answer replaces the old one.
If your chapter uses Meetup, an Also RSVP on Meetup button shows after you say you're coming. It opens that meeting on Meetup so you can answer there too, which helps guests find the chapter. Once you've tapped it, the card shows Added on Meetup on that phone or computer.
Can I answer from the email?
Yes. Your chapter may send an Are you coming? email two days before each meeting, to members who haven't answered yet.
- Tap I'm coming or Can't make it in the email.
- A page opens with the meeting details. Tap your answer once more to save it. You don't need to sign in.
- To change it later, tap I can't make it or I'm coming after all under Changed your mind? on the same page.
How do I pick my meal?
If your chapter orders meals, the leader posts the week's regular and alternate meal. The card then shows two buttons in place of I'm coming, one for each dish, such as Coming · Chicken marsala and Coming · Garden salad.
- Tap the Coming · button with the meal you want.
- The card shows Your meal and when choices close.
- To switch, tap the other meal before choices close.
If you say you're coming without picking, you get the regular meal. Tapping Can't make it clears your pick. The page from the email has the same meal buttons while choices are open.
Once choices close, your leader gets the count for the venue. The card then says choices have closed. If you need a different meal after that, ask your leader.
What reminders will I get?
If you said you're coming, you get a short See you today email on meeting day at 7:00 AM. It has the time, the address and a map link, and says who's presenting. For meetings that start before 9:30 AM, it comes at 6:00 PM the evening before instead. If your plans change, tap I can't make it after all in the email.
Both emails are sent only when your chapter leader has switched them on. To stop them, open Profile & settings, go to Email notifications and switch off Meeting reminders. You can still answer on Home any time.
Questions
Does saying I'm coming check me in?
No. It tells the chapter your plan. You still scan the code at the meeting, and only the check-in counts as attendance and earns points.
Why didn't I get the "Are you coming?" email?
Your leader may not have switched it on. It also goes only to members who haven't answered yet and have signed in to the portal at least once. Check that Meeting reminders is on in Profile & settings.
What if I don't pick a meal?
If you say you're coming without picking one, you're counted for the regular meal.
Can I change my meal after choices close?
Not yourself. Ask your chapter leader: they, or a board member who posts the meals, can still change it on Meetings.
I tapped the email button but nothing changed. Why?
Opening the link doesn't answer for you, so email security scanners can't answer by mistake. Tap I'm coming or Can't make it on the page that opens.
